Support Worker, Learning and Physical Disabilities - Stratford

Hours - Variety of Shifts

Pay - £8.74 - £9.83

Pulse Community Healthcare has an exciting new opportunity for a skilled and experienced support worker to support our client with learning and physical disabilities. Our young male client attends college daily, enjoys activities, crafts and technology. We require a support worker to help our client with daily activities and social interaction.

The successful support worker would be expected to provide personal care, assistance with mobility, administer medication, and manage complex clinical interventions. Specialist training will be provided, allowing you to meet all the care needs of the client.

This role involves days and nights and is offering a completive rate of pay of up to £9.83 per hour.

As a Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care
  • Assisting with mobility
  • Continence care
  • Pressure area care
  • Tracheostomy and ventilation care
  • Administering medication.

The ideal support worker will have:

  • A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of professional boundaries
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
