Position: Support Worker
Location: Bexhill, Battle, Rye, Northiam, Hailsham & St Leonards on Sea
Contract type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 37.5 per week
Closing Date: 6th November 2017
About the Role:
You will be supporting people with profound and multiple Learning disabilities who may also have additional health needs, experience sensory loss or have physical disabilities. You will support people by being a part of their day, in helping people make decisions, supporting with personal care and being involved in the activities they enjoy as well as everyday living.
No two days are the same, giving you a real sense of achievement at the end of the day. You could be going out to the pub, cinema, theatre, swimming or going to college in order to support people to enjoy life.
They currently have a number of Support Worker vacancies across East Sussex. They have services located within Battle, Bexhill on Sea, St Leonards on Sea, Fairlight, Northiam and Brede,
They also have a Supported Living service located within Hailsham.
For this role, you need to be patient, have good sense of humour and be able to support people through good and bad days. They are looking for people who are committed to supporting the people they work with who are honest and reliable, who can be creative and flexible in their approach, enhancing peoples opportunities to grow and develop.
You will need to have excellent communication and be able to use a range of skills to support people, to enable them to actively participate in choices about their life.

You may (but it is not essential) have experience of the following: Support Worker, Bank Support Worker, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, Care Worker, Learning Disabilities, Community Care, Not for Profit, NFP, Voluntary Sector, Vulnerable People, Care Assistant, Social Worker etc.
