Support Worker needed for an ongoing temporary contract in Bristol

You will be working with a supported housing provider who focuses on supporting vulnerable people towards independence.
Your new role
You will be working as a support worker providing Housing Support to vulnerable service users with complex needs. As a support worker you will be working on a full time basis Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week. As a support worker you will be supporting service users in temporary accommodation, promoting independence. You will be helping service users with a background in mental ill health to to sustain their tenancies. As a support worker you will provide a high quality support service to residents to sustain residencies and move on to independent living. As a support worker you will work directly with clients with complex needs, within central Bristol and the community, to address barriers towards independent living including mental health, substance abuse, financial capability, life and tenancy skills, rent arrears and debt management.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful support worker recent working knowledge with young service users or vulnerable clients is essential. You must have a supported housing background with working experience in a similar role. You must be able to communicate clearly and support service users toward independence. As a support worker it is essential you are a car user and have a full driving license. As you are working with vulnerable people an enhanced DBS is essential or the documents to produce a DBS on your behalf will needed.
