We are currently recruiting for a full time permanent Support Worker within the Watford area.
Located in a quiet, residential area of Watford, the service is a large detached residential service which can support up to six people with disabilities.
The spacious property includes six large bedrooms with their own washbasins, two lounges, dining room, large kitchen, utility room, bathroom, shower room and garden. The well equipped kitchen enables people the client supports to prepare snacks and meals of their choice.
The large fenced back garden is equipped with garden chairs and tables. During the summer months the garden is well utilised by people the client supports, who use it to have lunch and enjoy garden parties and barbecues.
People the client supports are encouraged to get involved with their local community as much as possible. There are a variety of local shops within a short walk from the service and nearby Watford has a wide choice of facilities including a swimming pool, leisure centre, theatre, cafe’s and restaurants.
This client prides themselves on improving the lives of the people they support as well as assisting them to achieve their full potential. Candidates should be able to use their own initiative and on occasion lone work.
Duties may include: assisting with all aspects of personal care, escorting into the community, encouraging participation in activities, social inclusion and administration of medication.
The successful candidate will need to hold a full UK manual driving licence as escorting service users into the community in the company vehicle is an integral part of this position.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and you will be asked to work evening and weekend shifts as part of your rota.
