Support Worker (Waking Night)

Prophet Care Recruitment are currently looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals for a permanent position based in Wood Green, London. The position is based within a residential home for young adults with Mental Health concerns and autism. To be considered for this role you must be able to work on a rota for 35 hours per week.

The home is currently paying £7.50 per hour and you will need to be able to commute to Wood Green, London. The position is in a residential home for young adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health illnesses. This is a 4 bed home and currently has 3/4 residents. Due to the small size of the home, our client is looking for a commited and reliable candidate to join their team!

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum one year experience working within the care sector
An understanding of the needs of Mental health and autism
Experience of providing personal care
Physically fit and able to undertake safe manual handling practices
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good telephone manner and good level of spoken
English Observant and sensitive to a Service User's needs Ability to work autonomously and productively as part of a team
Knowledge of food hygiene/manual handling/health & safety standards and practices
NVQ 2 in Care
Flexibility for shift work on a rota basis.
