We currently have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our small team assisting a gentleman living in the Penzance area. Ideally you will be resilient, have a strong personality and be able to work empathetically. You will also need to be patient and good humoured. Preferably, you will have an understanding of living with a brain injury (although not essential) and be able to work in a way that is truly person centred - aiming to make a real difference to the gentleman’s life by promoting independence and enhancing his perception of quality of life.

"It is also important that you support me to participate actively in my local community. This could be supporting me to the gym, into town shopping, or with my photography, I also have an avid interest in bees.

If you are successful at interview you will be invited to attend a 2nd interview with me as it is essential I am able to have meaningful input into recruitment for my team of support. I will also be interested in hearing from people who would like the idea of joining my team on a casual basis."

Current rota availability
We are looking for a dynamic person to work 2 shifts a fortnight, these are:
Week One: Tuesday: 8am - 10pm sleep in - Wednesday: 7am - 8am
Week Two: Saturday: 8am - 10pm sleep in - Sunday: 7am - 8am

Hours: Contracted for 15 hours per week.
Additional hours are available on an 'AD HOC’ basis. Casual opportunities are available over 7 days a week; 24 hour periods: inclusive of days and sleep in duties.
Salary: £8.75 per hour. Experience preferred but not essential as a range of training is provided.
Driving licence would be an advantage.

Closing date: Friday 24 August 2018.
