We are currently seeking a support worker to join our team in the Sawston area.
You will be supporting across a number of services within the Sawston area to include nine individuals within one of our supported living services. You will also be required to work with two individuals within their own homes as part of our domiciliary service.
Each individual has varying needs so you will need to be flexible in order to support them. You will be supporting with day to day things like finances; household duties such as cleaning; and to prepare and cook healthy meals. Some of the individuals require support with personal care so you will need to be comfortable in providing this.
It is important that you have a good sense of humour; are calm and approachable; but possess the ability to be assertive when the situation requires. It is important to the individuals you will be supporting that you enable them to challenge themselves; progress and achieve their goals. They would like to experience new things and will look to you to suggest ideas and support with activities.
Flexibility is a must as you will need to be available to work across various shifts to include; days, evenings and weekends.
