The Shires Post 19 provsion is based within a beautiful Edwardian house in Colsterworth, Nr Grantham and provides residential care for adults with severe autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. We are are looking to recruit passionate support worker to join a team that strives to provide our residents with opportunities to be an active part of our community.
You may already have experience of working with vulnerable adults within a similar setting however we will consider applications from candidates new to care who are able to demonstrate the key skills and passion we are looking for. In return we will offer comprehensive training so that you can build a successful career with us. We offer a starting salary of £17,442.57 plus travel allowance and many other benefits. Experienced candidates who join us with an understanding of autism, have experience of shift leading, medication and completed their Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Health & Social Care (Adults) are eligible for a starting salary of £18,308.96 plus travel allowance.
All roles are full time positions working a rolling shift pattern of four days on followed by four days off commencing at 08:00 until 21:00. This working pattern includes weekends and bank holidays, however there is a generous holiday entitlement of 6.6 weeks. Other benefits include: comprehensive induction and training, free meals, travel allowance, parking, pension, life insurance, uniform and an annual loyality bonus.
