We are Currently looking for a Support Worker based in Bromley who must have experience with working with Adults with learning disabilities. The role would include duties such as assisting the service user with day to day activities such as cooking and ensuring medication is taken correctly.
-Current DBS on the update service
-Able to communicate effectively and creatively with individuals and staff, both orally and in writing
-Ability to provide support in line with the individual’s person-centered plan
- Able to relate positively and confidently with individuals and to work in a way that places the service user at the center of all activity and decisions relating to the support provided
-Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently, demonstrating the ability to use your own initiative and make decisions based on the wishes of each individual
-Able to assess situations quickly and effectively and respond accordingly in an appropriate and sensitive manner
-Able to recognise the degree of importance of independence to each service user and to assist in the achievement of maximum independence within both their home environment and their local community
-14 hours per week
