This company is currently looking to recruit for an additional Waking Night Support Worker to join their already well established team. This role has come available after successfully completing an expansion of their residential home adding an additional 3 referrals to the capacity of 8 it already holds. This organisation provide a service to adults with learning disabilities and over the past couple of years have made fantastic development plans to increase their reputation in an ever competitive social market. Your new role
Your new role will include working within a team of night staff to help support service users throughout the course of the night. This will include helping the service users get ready for bed and settle down to sleep, aiding them throughout the night with any needs they have including accessing toilet facilities and assisting them in getting up in the morning and preparing them for whatever activities/appointments they may have coming up.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful worker will have previous experience of working with adults with learning disabilities but not necessarily within a residential setting, although residential experience would be ideal. You will have already completed a minimum of your NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, and although not essential as training can be provided, mandatory training will be in date.
