Our client charity and not-for-profit provider of specialist mental health care. Who work closely with the NHS to provide services for people with complex and challenging needs in an open, calming environment designed to enable recovery and independence.
Specialist treatment of the highest quality for Eating Disorders Personality Disorder and Dementia.
Developing therapeutic relationships are based on respect, dignity and provide holistic support for resident's families and friends.


Location


15 minutes out of York Centre accessible by bus train and car


The role


Provide care and treatment for residents who are full spectrum of f mental health from PD to Dementia. They present with behaviours which cannot be managed in a community or non-hospital setting due to the severity of their challenging behaviours.


The multidisciplinary team is experienced in understanding and resolving high risk, demanding


To actively encourage patients involvement in monitoring and commenting on the quality of the service provided on the unit leading to user focused quality improvement initiatives.


Applicants would ideally have experience of working in a Mental Health environment.


This position involves working shifts including early, late and night shifts.


Skills for the job

Resident focussed to provide practical support services for residents without undermining their independence.


Empathy has the ability to understand the needs of residents.


Initiative identifies opportunities which would benefit residents and the service generally.


Flexibility can adapt approach to meet the support expectations of residents.


Essential you have minimum 6 months paid experience in a mental health setting
