Support Worker - Learning Disability

Posted 5 days ago by Reed Health & Care Featured
Reed Community Care are looking to introduce new workers to our current team of support workers supporting our customer in LS17.

Our customer is in her twenties and lives at home with her family, she requires support Tuesday and Thursday evenings (4 hours) and Saturday and Sunday (6 hours) during the day.

Our customer enjoys visiting local museums and events in and around West Yorkshire, she likes to travel by car initially but also enjoys public transport especially train travel. She also enjoys shopping and pampering herself, enjoying testing perfume in various department stores on a weekend.  Her weekday evenings are spent attending local appropriate clubs and activities such as eating out.  She is non verbal and has previously displayed some challenging behaviours directed at family.  She is gastrostomy fed, which isn't done on every shift but it is helpful if you can do this, we would be able to provide training for this.

If you have experience of supporting young adults who are non-verbal and have learning disabilities in and around the local community then please apply.

In return for your commitment Reed Community Care can offer you competitive pay rates, 20 days holidays pro rata, free training, access to Reed Rewards Scheme, opportunity to enter various competitions and invitations to attend team functions throughout the year.
