Role: Adults Residential Support Worker

Location: Worcestershire within commuting distance of Malvern, Upton On Severn, Stourport, Pershore, Ledbury, Bromyard, Tewkesbury, Droitwich Spa, Bromsgrove and Evesham.

Contract: Full Time Contract 42 hours per week

Rota Pattern: Always 08:00-20:00- Days

Shift Pattern: 2 week rota- Week 1 – 3 days per week, Week 2- 4 days a week across week days and weekends. NO SLEEP INS NEEDED

Salary: UP TO £20,000 (range dependent on experience, salary will increase on a salary scale once employed)

Overview Adults Residential Support Worker

This is a full time, permanent vacancy, whereby if you are successful you will be employed directly by the business.

I am recruiting for a specialist adult autism residential service in Worcestershire to join an established team of Specialist Staff.

This service is a reputable and well established Adolescent to Adult Life Preparation Service who offer personal development programmes for 17 year olds plus. The residential focuses on Person Centred approach creating a respite day and outreach programme tailored to the individuals with autism and complex needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supporting learning experiences at home and the wider community
  • Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living
  • Encouraging participation in daily tasks
  • Reporting and recording key aspects of care
  • Managing complex and challenging behaviour

Key Skills Required:

  • Hold or be willing to train to Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults)
  • Keen to work with adults with autism and associated difficulties
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Have the flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including weekends
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence or have transport to and from work
