We are currently looking to expand our team of dedicated support workers who are based in Corby and are supporting 3 ladies and 1 gentleman who have a learning disability and challenging behaviours. We have various hours available for the successful candidates.
You will be responsible for the day to day livelihood of these individuals and will help with medication, finances and daily living tasks. Personal care will also be a big aspect of this role. Another big part of being a support worker is being a big part of the fun! Some activities include going for walks, going on holidays and using the sensory room.
The people we support have created profiles about what they want from their support worker, please have a look at this on the additional details tab.
Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns. We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance.
One of the most amazing things about being a Support Worker is that anyone can do it! As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us. It is desirable that you have a driving licence and are hoist trained. However, not essential.
Interviews will be held in Kettering on 29th March 2018.
An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)
