Support Worker - Children's Services

Posted 1 June by Swanstaff Recruitment Ltd

At Swanstaff, our passion is care and support. We offer support to nursing and retirement organisations in the public and private sector across the Colchester area

Our client, a provider of young person's services in the Essex area, requires staff for ongoing night work in the Saffron Walden area. Hours of work are 9.30pm-8.30am, throughout the shift, with required nights varying on a weekly basis.

Applicants will ideally have experience working with children with EBD and challenging behaviour, but other appropriate experience may be considered. NVQ2/3 in Residential Childcare would be advantageous, but not essential.

Working as a Support Worker within our clients` teams, it`s not just the service users` health needs you`ll help meet. You`ll also help them to get more out of life - to be more independent, to enjoy a wider range of activities, and, above all, to have more choice in their day to day life. Whether you`re getting involved with a daily activity, filling in vital paperwork, lending someone a hand to make their lunch, or simply being there for them, you`ll make all the people you care for feel safe, comfortable and secure. In other words, you`ll make them feel right at home.

But why join our team?

We couldn`t achieve what we do without our amazing teams. We believe in our people and want to ensure you feel appreciated and supported at every step of your journey with us. For this reason, we offer an excellent range of benefits as listed below.

  • Competitive pay rates
  • FREE training
  • 24 hour support
  • Flexible hours
  • Refer a Friend Scheme - get between £50 and £200 for referring a carer or nurse to us
