Hays are delighted to be working in partnership with our client in their search for specialist Autism or LD Support Workers. This organisation has settings throughout the U.K with this particular role based in one of their sites in Newtownabbey, which caters to those suffering from Autism, Mental Health Issues, Learning Disability and Acquired Brain Injuries.
Your new role
A challenging role which requires experienced Support Workers to assist the service users in all aspects of daily life. At times you may need to overcome or preempt signs of aggression and so you must have experience in dealing with those who display signs of extremely challenging behaviour. You will take service users on daily excursions and will work with an experienced and friendly team.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have worked specifically with those who have had Mental Health issues, Autism and/or Learning Disabilities. You will be able to illustrate your previous experience in aiding service users to maintain control and to engage in proactive methods of behaviour change. You must be registered with the NISCC and be willing to undergo an Enhanced Access NI.
