Cardea Healthcare is a specialist healthcare recruitment agency providing home care, residential and supported living. We are currently recruiting for a support workers in a residential environment in and around London. The position is working with Adults with a wide range of mental & learning disabilities who need assisted living to lead their own lives without restrictions.
Main duties and responsibilities:
As a support worker you will possess the following qualities; a friendly, empathetic and patient individual who has confidence to take lead when dealing with challenging behaviours.
The candidate must be able to creatively organise activities to engage the service user according to the SU’s interests and teach life skills.
The candidate must be firm and able to communicate advice and instructions without hesitation.
The candidate must be prepared to carryout personal care duties as and when needed depending on the SU’s care plan.
The candidate must have the following:
At least 6 months care experience
Have a Driving Licence and access to their own Vehicle ideally.
Ideally an up to Date DBS.
Needed for the role:
All mandatory training that we have supplied to be completed.
Challenging behaviour training that is supplied.
The role involves flexible working hours and you may be asked to work evening shifts and weekends.
