We are looking for a positive, fun and caring Support Worker to work within our residential service in Truro!
So what does our Truro service look like?
Well it's a mixed medley of personalities, interests, hobbies and passions! We a lady who loves arts and crafts and enjoys making her own jewelry with beads. If you're the creative type you might get on well with our art enthusiast but it doesn't stop with art, he loves attending the ballet and opera too! In this service we also have a wildlife enthusiast, a keen dancer, and a butterfly lover! We have lots of different support needs in this service, some of the people that we support need a guiding hand in their everyday endeavours, whereas others require their Support Worker to be a little bit more involved, assisting with personal care and medication - so it's important that you are comfortable with this (but don't worry - we provide fantastic award winning training). We provide a person centered approach and support these individuals in all of the ways that they want to be supported, as well as the ways that they need to be supported.
We put the people who we support at the heart of what we do. We make sure that everyone is as equally involved with the recruitment process as our very own recruitment team. As a support worker, flexibility is key for both yourself and for the service, You may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week, including mornings and evenings. The best thing about flexibility? It's a two-way street. While we may require that you work a variety of shifts, we also understand that you'll have your own commitments and we will try to factor this into our rotas.
