Support Engineer, 2nd Line Support
As a result of an exciting period of growth, we’re currently seeking an experienced Support Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer with experience with a range of technologies to join a leading, Thame-based, employer.
What will the Support Engineer be doing?
The 2nd Line Support Engineer will be part of a small team, serving as a point of escalation to a dedicated 1st Line team. The successful 2nd Line Support Engineer will be providing predominantly 2nd Line desktop support for a wide variety of both new and legacy tech such as Active Directory, Windows 10 and Office 365. This is a varied role with opportunity to learn new technologies.
The 2nd Line Support Engineer will also bridge the gap between 2nd and 3rd Line, with responsibility for some network and server work, and will also have involvement in a variety of interesting projects.
What do I need?
• Demonstrable 2nd Line support experience
• Basic server and networking knowledge would be advantageous, but this is an area where my client is keen to provide training and development
• Experience working in an ITIL environment and/or prior service desk experience would be a plus
• Willingness to learn and develop into becoming a 3rd Line Engineer!
