Position: Stroke Association Support Coordinator – Communication Support 
Location: West and Central Hampshire, Office based in Basingstoke 
Job Type: Permanent 
Hours: Part time, 28 per week 
Salary: circa £18,000 per annum

About the role: 

A new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our service team in Hampshire. 

This service focuses on reablement and works with stroke survivors and carers living with the effects of stroke and communication difficulties. The Communication Support Coordinator will assess the needs of stroke survivors and communication partners and create client-centred intervention plans to support people to achieve their desired outcomes. 

Reporting to the Stroke Support Manager, you will support people by creating opportunities to develop communication strategies, rebuild confidence and get back to life after stroke. 

About you: 

Ideally with knowledge and experience of stroke or disability, you will be working in the community, facilitating small groups of support. Experience of recruiting and managing a team of volunteers would be highly beneficial. 

You will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with an innovative approach to service delivery and commitment to providing a quality service. 

You will have excellent IT skills and a strong understanding of how to use data to improve quality. 

A flexible approach to your role and the ability to drive is essential. 

You may have experience of the following: Stroke Recovery Service Coordinator, Support Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Health Care, Stroke Recovery, Third Sector, Charity, Advice, Administration etc.
