We’re looking for an support and business analyst to assist in supporting the Welsh Community Care Information System (WCCIS).WCCIS enables social care, mental health, community nursing and allied health professionals ensure that quality care and support for individuals, families and communities are more effectively planned, co-ordinated and delivered. WCCIS is a key digital initiative for Welsh Government and is set out in ‘A Healthier Wales’ plan.
The national WCCIS programme team has been established to work with local authorities, health boards and regional partnership boards in Wales, in order to co-ordinate activities and deliverables across a number of workstreams to:
• Ensure usability, quality & safety of digital functionality for all services in scope
• Support deployment, utilisation, business change and benefits realisation
• In partnership with National professional leads and informatics services, lead and support development and implementation of information and reporting standard
• Ensure delivery of the contracted service and future development

NHS Wales Informatics Service (NWIS) is the national organisation delivering technology and first class digital health systems and services needed for modern patient care in Wales.

We are recruiting Support & Business Analysts to our Community Applications development team to assist in the support of major National software applications.
You will be working on the Welsh Community Care Information System (WCCIS).

As a Support & Business Analyst you will be required to take a flexible and innovative approach combined with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to ensure that the application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians. You will be expected to:
- Provide operational/technical support of the service;
- Resolve problems/faults and user support issues;
- Provide guidance and technical advice to colleagues and other NHS/social care staff;
- Liaise with the system supplier.

Experience of working within a software service delivery and 2nd line support environment is essential for this post and experience/knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous:
- Good knowledge in ITIL service Delivery and Service Support;
- Problem solving skills.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can quickly learn our systems and respond to a variety of support requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for those with operational IT skills wishing to work at a National level, to join us at an exciting stage in the implementation of a major system.

All software support work is undertaken in accordance with National policies, processes and procedures described by the Welsh Health IT Service Management Boards as part of its adoption of ITIL best practice.

There may be a requirement to work as part of an on-call rota covering a 24/7 service.
