Support Analyst required to join a busy Service desk working for a prestigious organisation within the Services industry. This role represents an excellent inroad to the busy infrastructure team, supporting a 250 strong organisation across a range of client and server related issues within a Wintel environment. The helpdesk is a centralised service managing Technical calls for the entire group. Unlike many Service desk roles, this is not a call logging service you will be expected to show technical ability to help diagnose and resolve IT related issues covering a broad spectrum of technologies, managing your own time effectively to provide a resolution or a clear diagnosis log for escalation. You can expect to be involved with scheduled activities, Backup, DR, Exchange Account / Active Directory Admin in addition to largely remote based solution delivery.
Shortlisted candidates will be confident communicators able to show analytical ability to assist in fault diagnosis, you will also be keen to further your knowledge and be set on a career path in the IT field. Applicants will be required to hit the floor running with previous experience from an IT support or Service Desk environment. Applicants will, however, have some degree of knowledge of Client and preferably basic server-side technologies in some or all of the following areas: Active Directory (password reset), Networking (DNS, Switches etc.), Windows Server, Exchange, Server Admin (Backup, Disaster recovery, admin).
