The position will be temporary day-to-day cover bookings for various schools in the Berkshire area, these schools range from challenging to "outstanding", however all the support you need will be given and we will only ask you to work where you feel comfortable.
Daily bookings can become long term based on the needs of the schools at the time you are visiting.

The ideal candidate would hold relevant Secondary School teaching qualifications, experience of covering and delivering quality lessons from a pre-prepared teaching plan. This is desirable not essential.
Experience of using SIMS and school data would be beneficial however not essential as the school will provide training and guidance where necessary. IT proficiency is a must due to the nature of the role, most classrooms are fitted with SMART boards, laptop/PC and most lessons will be delivered from a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation.
Classroom management is a key skill in the role of a supply teacher, the ability to adapt and walk into any situation with a positive and productive approach is vital when providing cover for the usual classroom teacher.
