Supply Planner

I am delighted to be assisting my client, a global company with operations in 19 countries and a dedicated workforce conversant in 28 languages, with the recruitment of a Supply Planner.

The European head office is based in Northumberland, and they have a number of key offices across Europe. With a vision to be the global leader, there has never been a more exciting time to join this company.

Specific Responsibilities:

1 Generating purchase orders to maintain stock levels.
2 Signing the pro-forma invoice from the vendor, not including vendor selection and negotiation.
3 Following the production schedule and manage ongoing communication with vendor.
4 Organising freight with assistance from the logistics team.
5 Warning relevant teams for all issues linked to a purchase order or a vendor.
6 Warning on delays, price disagreement, quality issues reported by vendor for example.
7 Maintaining all SAP data for the purchase orders: delivery date, status etc.
8 Proposing and organising stock balancing between distribution centres to optimise stock holding.
9 Managing end of life of SKUs together with the Forecast Analyst, by targeting a zero- stock situation when the SKU is discontinued.
10 Managing new items introductions together with the Forecast Analyst. 11 Following up and resolving issues regarding shortages/cancellations.
