Jigsaw Specialist Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading, specialist technology company to support in this newly created position. As the Supply Chain Manager you will purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the day to day operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery time-scales to ensure continuity of supply.
Working within the Finance team, you will be responsible for component procurement, monitoring and managing stock levels and administration of our export control procedures.
You will be responsible for managing contact with suppliers and sub-contractors. You will need to have a good understanding of supply chains and business requirements, ensuring materials are ordered and delivered within reasonable time-scales, especially those on long lead times, as well as negotiating best price.
You will be responsible for managing stock at the lowest possible levels whilst ensuring no interruption to customer supply, managing regular stock takes, monitoring where stock is in the internal process and advising on replenishment.
You will be responsible for compliance to strict export control policies set down by Government and will guide and make recommendations internally to ensure that the company adheres to any export licensing requirements.
To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent negotiation skills, be a strong communicator, have a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and have a knowledge of SAGE or a similar ERP system.
