Your new company is an exciting, local manufacturing company who have been established since early 1900's. They specialise in a wide range of sectors around the world. They are a friendly, team-orientated company who are looking for a new Supply Chain Assistant to join their vibrant team.
Your new role
Your new role as a Supply Chain Assistant will be to support the smooth running of various departments relating to importation, supporting the supply chain manager and customer service team. You will liaise with European suppliers, warehouse employees and hauliers to ensure purchase orders are fulfilled within required time frames, stock volumes are maintained at an optimal level, and transparent communication is maintained by all parties. This is a customer facing role so you will need to to love delivering high quality customer service. Your role will involve problem solving, complaint handling, negotiation, project management and procurement.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to possess a great work ethic and the ability to deliver great customer service. Experience of sage line 50 and CRM systems would be an advantage. You will need to be an ambitious self-starter who desires a role which will create a career rather than simply a 'job'. You will need to have experience in a supply chain or procurement role - this is a necessity.
