An opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Optimisation Analyst to develop and progress an exciting career with a specialist FMCG retailer who are a market leader in their field. With a mix of home working and working from their modern head office in Warwickshire, in this role you will be at the heart of action, with responsibility for working on projects that ensure optimum product availability to make sure their customers get the products they need.
About the role
You will be accountable for managing the automated replenishment process for their high street stores, including optimising the stock flow through their distribution network and warehouse operation. You will responsible for the high level analysis of supply and demand, and then providing forecasts extracted from the data. A big element of the role will be project based and you will work on cross functional projects, supporting in designing, implementing and monitoring changes. The job holder will also be the first point of contact with suppliers, working collaboratively with them to forecast stock requirements and to manage inbound supply as well as managing obsolete stock out of the business.
About the person
To be considered for this position, you will have experience of working in a Retail or FMCG Supply Chain environment where your you will have developed an excellent understanding of forecasting and replenishment metrics and how to use these to influence different outcomes. You will be highly analytical with an ability to take large data sets and drill down to provide insight into trends as well as having the ability to manage change in improving current ways of working. The company do not have layers of management red tape, so you will have loads of autonomy and accountability.
