£32,000 - £35,000 per annum on a pro-rata basis, depending on experience

Providing safe, secure and nurturing foster placements to children who are unable to remain with their birth families, a warm welcome awaits you at Outlook Fostering, one of our well known CareTech services in Ashford, Kent, covering the local area. Due to expansion and increased workload, we are seeking a proactive, caring, compassionate and committed Supervising Social Worker to manage a caseload of 3/4 Foster Carers and continue providing a high quality service to our service users on a part-time basis. Whilst the role of a Supervising Social Worker offers variety and training, it takes a courageous and committed individual to really succeed at the role - within the role you will also be expected to cover a vast area so it is essential that you hold a full driving licence. It would be beneficial if you have experience working within an IFA, in tandem with a positive attitude, friendly persona and a caring yet straight-talking nature in order to succeed.
You will be tasked with Monthly supervising social worker visits to the Foster Carer, ensuring that the supervision is recorded, and reports are completed within set timescales. You will also be expected to support the Out of Hours service by participating in a rota, working with colleagues on the appropriate placement and/or movement of children with Foster Carers. You will ideally have knowledge of the CHARMS database and be able to confidently deliver training and facilitate monthly Support Group Meetings to and with Foster Carers.
