Supervising Social Worker - Therapeutic Fostering Agency

A Not for Profit Fostering Agency are looking for a Supervising Social Worker to join their service in the South West on a permanent basis.

This is a Specialist Fostering Service which provides intensive therapeutic placements to children and young people with complex emotional needs, often as result of early trauma. As a result Social Workers receive a high level of training and further development around therapeutic practice (such as DDP).

As a Supervising Social Worker you will support and supervise a manageable case load of foster carers who are are located in Somerset and Devon. You will undertake unannounced visits, participate in the duty rota and complete Form F Assessments.

The position offers a basic salary of up to £34,500 plus a competitive car allowance of £4500 along with 26 dys annual leave and additional payments for Out of Hours.

The position requires a skilled and enthusiastic Qualified Social Worker with a strong interest in working within a therapeutic setting, in addition candidates must have:

• Completed ASYE
• Have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Children Social Worker
• Be able to demonstrate good understanding of Fostering Minimum Standards, Fostering Legislation and Safeguarding
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence
