Supervising Social Work role available for a small independent provider based in the South West in Devon. Candidates are offered small caseload within an hour maximum of the office. Competitive salary in comparison to caseload. £32,000pa + generous car allowance. Flexible working, good holiday allowance in a supportive forward thinking team. This IFA pride themselves on above average long term stable placements with an emphasis on incorporating a therapeutic approach to work. All staff receive therapeutic training to support foster carers in their role which in turn enables the children and young people to fulfil their potential and live positive lives.
The post holders' duties will include:
-The recruitment and assessment of prospective foster carers this will include presenting completed Form F assessments to our foster panel
-The support and supervision for our approved foster carers
-Contributing to foster carers reviews of approval
-Facilitating foster carers support groups and training
-Partaking in the out of hours 'on call' system
-Be willing to work flexibly
-To contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the agency
This position will be full time and is a permanent contract. The successful applicant will be able to work from home as well as within the Team Office and the successful candidate will be provided with a lap top and mobile phone.
Candidates ideally will have experience of working in a Fostering team but transferable skills would be considered.
