We have a great opportunity for a Contracts Manager to set up and manage the subcontract or outsourcing strategy for our clients UK operations.
We are working with an engineering company with sites and projects throughout the UK and Europe. The successful applicant will have the responsibility for developing the strategy for outsourcing engineering works and delivering against the demands of the business. This includes developing the appropriate processes, systems and oversight structure needed to outsource effectively. To identify opportunities within the engineering portfolio to outsource works, new partners and manage the contracts/ relationships with the support of Procurement. This will include tracking of budgets, metrics and performance of Suppliers. Working closely with different Engineering departments and procurement, as well as managing internal business Stakeholders and external Suppliers. This role is key to achieving the Engineering strategy to increase our capacity and capability to deliver, and project delivery success.
Experience of delivery of Engineering projects, managing outsource relationships and knowledge of contracts.
Strong analytical thinker, capable of sound decision-making and have the ability to understand wider business issues Project, portfolio, financial and change management.
Innovation - demonstrate innovative, lateral and creative thinking and have the broad knowledge and commercial aptitude to contribute ideas on all aspects of the Engineering and outsource strategy.
Effective interpersonal skills with a clear, concise and relevant communication style, including excellent presentation skills.
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field/business disciplines an advantage.
Hands on experience of successfully delivering outsource projects.
Project management certification - Proven record in the application of project management methodologies an advantage.
This role can be based either in Guildford, Surrey or Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The salary will be negotiable dependent on your experience and industry background. The package includes a company car allowance, pension, health, bonus scheme and holiday.
