Your Opportunity

We now have an exciting career opportunity to join our Pearson family as Student Retention Coordinator where you will work closely with our Student Retention Managers who are the main point of contact for our University Partners regarding academic matters and ongoing student retention. This role will provide central administrative support to the Student Retention Managers and focus on core activities which secure revenue and ongoing student retention for the team. This role will also be responsible for liaising with our University partners and Student Success Advisors/customer-facing teams to resolve individual issues raised by students.

This role sits within our Pearson Online Learning Service (POLS) Partnership Operations team and will be involved in projects, supporting the Student Retention Managers and Project Managers to help scope out and deliver University partner facing projects. You’ll be the first point of contact for partnership communications and you’ll use Issues Trackers to coordinate with our Student Advisors to collect relevant information relating to the enquiry/issue, escalating to Student Retention Managers where appropriate. It will be your responsibility to liaise with our University partner and Faculties to resolve individual queries ensuring these are closed in a timely manner.

With full training provided, you will complete the project/administrative support process for student module enrolments using the Salesforce system. This will require excellent attention to detail, error-checking and working with accuracy at all times. You will liaise with Student Advisors to ensure details from students are recorded accurately, for example for new module enrolments etc. Your other project support responsibilities will include running reports and communicating on student census related details, billings etc. You’ll update Faculties and Schools with accurate student data and create and carry out End of Module Surveys, circulating and sending reminders and feedback/outcomes.

Our Successful Candidate

We are interested in applicants with experience in an Education/Student Services position with excellent administration and coordinating skills. You’ll have experience working with reports, analysing data and reporting/communicating trends. You’ll need excellent verbal and written communication skills as we are looking for a professional who can build effective working relationships with stakeholders, including internal employees and external clients/University partners.

You’ll have the ability to multi-task, and work well in a fast-paced, demanding environment with tight timelines. You’ll need to be confident in prioritising issues, probing for more information and handling escalations. It would be an advantage to have worked in a Project Coordinator role and have knowledge of UK University procedures. It would also be desirable to have experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system.
