Student Mental Health Assistant - Oxford

We are working alongside a brilliant school located in Oxford, OX2 is looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join their team in a Student Mental Health Assistant position. The school is dedicated to making a positive impact on their students' education and want someone to join their community to provide consistent support to their students. The Student Mental Health Assistant will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing environment for students to express themselves and explore their independence.

The students attending this school face a variety of mental health and behaviour challenges and respond well to encouragement to reach their full potential. The successful Student Mental Health Assistant will act as the first line of response for students struggling - whether it is regarding learning material, academic topics or personal challenges. The role's responsibilities include identifying and observing different triggers for students, implementing therapeutic techniques and healthy coping mechanisms to best prepare them for independence.
