Salary: Up to £45,000
We are actively seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join a thriving multidisciplinary consultancy based in Exeter. In this role, you will support one of the busiest civil teams and work on diverse projects, including the design of sustainable buildings, timber structures, and the preservation of historic buildings.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience as a design engineer
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Meng, BEng, MSc, BSc, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
- Strong general knowledge of building construction
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings and plans using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools
- Develop structural designs for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver effective engineering solutions
- Provide technical guidance and support for junior engineers and interns
- Perform calculations and prepare technical reports in compliance with industry standards and regulations
