Structural Engineer

Salary up to £45,000

I am actively seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join a busy, successful Multidisciplinary Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Exeter. As a Structural Engineer, you will assist in managing one of their busiest civil teams where you will have opportunity to work on various projects, such as in the design of sustainable buildings, the use of timber structures as well as historic buildings.

It is essential for the Structural Engineer to have a professional and commercial viewpoint through having the following:

  • A minimum of 4 years' work experience as a design engineer
  • Meng, Beng, MSc, Bsc or relevant Civil or Structural Engineering degree
  • Knowledge of technical software with AutoCAD or an equivalent design software
  • A good general knowledge of building construction.

Duties and responsibilities for this Structural Engineer include:

  • Ability to use AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit and CADS RC by creating engineering design plans
  • Working closely with design teams and other professionals on construction plans
  • Providing technical engineering advice
  • Inspecting buildings to assess their structural integrity
