Our client, a successful and growing CofE multi-academy trust in Slough, is seeking to appoint an experienced Strategic HR Manager in the development and delivery of effective strategic HR practices and initiatives.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Strategic HR Manager will be responsible for the HR functions and services across five schools within the Trust. This will include the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective HR strategies to support the effective management of people resources, harmonising HR practices across the schools in the Trust. The scope of the role includes a robust review of health & safety, recruitment & retention, equality & equal opportunity, safeguarding, safer recruitment and employee engagement, benefits & recognition.
The postholder will work closely with the Trust’s external HR provider, Headteachers, Trust HR Advisors, School Business Managers, and other key school personnel to support the effective and consistent provision of HR transactional activities across the Trust.
CIPD Qualified, you will demonstrate an exceptional knowledge of Employment Law and HR best practice, a sound working knowledge of providing strategic HR advice and guidance across multiple sites and the flexibility to work efficiently in a busy and fast-moving environment.
On a personal note, you will be confident in developing positive relationships quickly, with a strong work ethic and be committed in delivering a first-class HR service to staff across the Trust. Experience of working within the education sector would be highly advantageous, however, the Trust will consider candidates outside of education with multi-site experience.
This is a part time position working a minimum of 15 hours per week, on a flexible working basis, on site and all year through.
