Strategic Sourcing Manager

A leading computer games business, based in Surrey, is actively seeking to hire a Strategic Sourcing Manager for their procurement team. The role will be responsible across categories, but with focus on the higher spend areas of IT and marketing.

This outstanding opportunity has arisen within a leading global procurement team of a well known computer gaming company.

The company is one of the best well known video gaming businesses in the world and has produced some of the most iconic games. Due to growth and and opportunity, the role of Strategic Sourcing Manager has become available in their UK offices in Surrey.

The role will focus on all indirect spend in the UK and work across EMEA in conjunction with the European Procurement team. Specific focus will be on a variety of indirect categories, where the biggest spend areas are IT and marketing. The role covers the full end to end procurement cycle and candidates therefore should have experience from raising tenders through to appointment and then contract management post implementation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree educated and preferably CIPS qualified
  • Experience of a variety of indirects, but particular focus on IT and marketing would be advantageous
  • Commercial awareness but also an ability to guide stakeholders
  • Soft skills are paramount. This role will work autonomously and closely with the local Directors and senior management. An ability to lead but show humility is important.

The business offers significant benefits to its staff. It is a gaming environment and as such those the culture is relaxed but focused on delivery. There is little formal attire in this office.
