A UK leading financial services organisation with a well-known brand has an opportunity for an IT Strategic Sourcing Manager to support the Head of Procurement IT to work on highly strategic, large value sourcing projects, based at their Head Office in Cheshire

This role requires someone that has had recent experience of large spend in one of these areas, IT services, Software, Networks and Hardware on a strategic level. This role sits within a relatively new team with a focus on best in class procurement focusing on IT spend. The function and company needs someone to work with key stakeholders in long term strategy planning

Role responsibilities:

  • Support and work with Head of Procurement to source new suppliers and rationalize spend

  • Work on all projects strategically and pro-actively

  • Analyse the market to advise internal stakeholders

  • Sell the benefits of procurement to the business leads and consult accordingly

  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best cost and service for the business

  • Implement SLA's into new and existing supplier contracts

  • Draft contracts from scratch

  • Suggest new supplier opportunities from current and past market knowledge

Experience & requirements:

  • Previous procurement experience, specifically in IT/IS/Technology

  • Confident in negotiating and managing all levels of stakeholders

  • Able to analyse data and process it into advice / benefits for the business

  • Basic technical understanding of IT and the relevant sub-categories

  • Results and target driven

  • End to end procurement experience on a strategic level

  • MCIPS or degree qualified
