About the role
The Procurement Manager is responsible for continuous improvement and evaluation of purchasing activities within the business. This includes strategic procurement, investment opportunities, best practices, bringing in change and innovation.

Main responsibilities

  • Define the procurement strategy for various areas of the business, including consultancy, out-sourced services, logistics, warehousing and storage, spend analysis
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of the supplier base
  • Lead and support global and regional procurement projects
  • Drafting, launching and owning category plans, including market assessment, SWOT analysis and investment opportunities
  • Monitor compliance and company procurement policies, code of conduct, operating guidelines, regulations
  • Ensure the strategic procurement function is supported by appropriate data analytics and reporting tools

Candidate requirements

  • Previous experience in a procurement role within the FMCG industry
  • MCIPS accreditation
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong team player and able to work autonomously
  • Organised with high attention to detail
  • Good communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills at all levels
  • Educated to degree level
  • Previous project management experience (useful)
