Duties and Responsibilities

Gigaclear is a rapidly growing fibre-optic broadband operator which puts great emphasis on innovation and intelligent business planning to continue to accelerate the growth of the business. The Market Intelligence (MI) function is a department that plays a key role in this, analysing the market to optimally understand the nature and location of demand for ultrafast broadband, the competitive and regulatory landscape, and the modelled costs for building networks to reach the demand.

The Strategic Insight Manager is a senior role working very closely with the Head of MI and departmental colleagues to help the company gain a deep insight into dynamics of the broadband landscape, especially the growing deployments of ultrafast broadband services.

Over the coming months, you will build a small team specialising in the analysis of the broadband market, providing strategic insight to the business and actively guiding the companies build pipeline.

You will take responsibility for understanding and evidencing market trends, understanding technology capabilities, working with the Data Team to understand how this may change the UK’s broadband landscape and impact customer take-up. You will proactively and creatively seek out ways to provide better market insight.

The successful candidate will be able to work closely and collaboratively across the business, offering strategic insight to support business decisions. You will be a clear communicator, able to advise, support and collaborate with teams across the business.

Knowledge and Experience:

An understanding of the broadband market, its structure and it's players

Solid understanding and experience of market analysis and research techniques, able to interact with the Department’s data analysts

Able to create succinct strategic insight from complex market data

Very good Interpersonal Skills with the ability to interact effectively with all personnel

Strong Communication skills with the ability to summarise and explain complex analysis

Strong Time management and efficiency

Good numeracy and analytical skills

Experience of managing a small team of specialists is preferred

Personally Effective

Ability to ensure the highest standards of quality

Ability to develop technical skills quickly

Attention to detail and the ability to manage a high-volume work load efficiently and effectively

Education and Qualifications:

Graduate level understanding of Market Research techniques
