Stores Supervisor / Stock Controller – Yeovil - £20-25K
My client, a successful manufacturing company is looking to recruit an experienced stores supervisor / stock controller for their site based near Yeovil. The successful despatch supervisor will report into the production manager and be responsible for the Goods in Goods out staff. The successful stores and despatch supervisor will have worked in a similar role for a manufacturing company, must have ERP experience and ideally have a working understanding of CI continuous improvement.
The main duties will include
·Managing and being accountable for the Despatch / Stores area including motivating, developing, leading and managing the team
·Meeting customer demands and quality targets
·Liaising with Sales and Manufacturing to ensure delivery of completed works orders ready for despatch in the correct quantities and at the correct time
·Ensuring Quality and Process Conformance
·Setting and maintaining consistent 5S (Sort,Set,Shine,Standardise,Stick) and housekeeping standards.
·Initiating and manage Continuous Improvement activities.
·Providing regular feedback to the Production Manager
·Deputising for the Production Manager as required
Key skills – The successful ERP controller MUST have:
·Knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace
·Computer literate in major programs such as MS Word, Excel
·Good standard of literacy and numeracy
·Excellent manufacturing knowledge
·Experience with ERP systems
·A forklift licence would be helpful
The successful candidate may have previously worked as a warehouse supervisor, storeman, despatch supervisor, storeperson, ERP controller, MRP controller, stock controller. This company offers a day based role and promotes a good work life balance. The salary on the role will be £20-25K DOE
