ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting for an STORES OPERATIVE (Auto-P Operative) to work 24/7 on 12 hr shift pattern, within our clients Palletising and Cold Store area of the business.
As an Auto-P Operator you will be responsible for helping to deliver production outputs and:
1.Act safely and protect yourself and others
2.Operate all equipment in the department
3.Follow all Quality procedures
4.Complete basic maintenance activities and repairs
5.Clean all equipment in the department & general area
6.Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained on shift
7.Use department IT systems
9.Internal movement of pallets using FLT
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The Auto-P Operator is required to Operate, Maintain, Improve and Repair equipment according to training endorsement, and will support the delivery of operational KPIs. Supported by the core skills to work within an autonomous team, the Auto-P Operator will diligently follow the established standards of production delivery and drive continuous improvement. Safety, quality and eco-efficiency will be the hallmarks of the Auto-P Operator, which will complement an improved ability to analyse, problem solve and coach others. You will ideally hold an up to date fork lift licence.
Ideally, you will have previous operating experience in a food factory environment, but we'll still offer you plenty of on-the-job training, and many opportunities to get involved in safety, quality and continuous improvement activity. You will bring with you, a willingness to learn and a positive 'can-do' attitude. You will be a confident and clear communicator with a strong team ethic. You should be confident to work with numbers and data and have GCSE Math's and English or equivalent.
