Sussex Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a Parts Manager for their well-established local client who have recently invested £2.4m in new machinery, people and future growth. Opportunities for career progression will be available to the right candidate.
The main purpose of this position will be to oversee and control all stock movements of which there are circa 5000+ parts.
The ideal applicant will be extremely organised, with good previous knowledge of stock management. In addition, you should have strong supervisory skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, mentor/train staff and problem solve.
A combi fork lift licence is desirable but not mandatory.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Warehouse Manager.
To oversee and organise stock production requirements.
Purchasing of product
Inventory and management control
Introduction / Implement new stock control system and procedures
To accept and receipt goods-In, on a daily basis ensuring 100% accuracy.
Locate and allocate goods-in according to the "Goods-In" procedure.
Liaise with all relevant departments on deliveries and planning of goods-in.
Drive the team and department forward
Advise on all stock shortages and incorrect supply from manufactures to the Warehouse Manager.
Create and maintain department K.P.I's
To ensure all goods received meet the expected criteria for quality, quantity and the exact product requirements.
To ensure that the goods-in / yard areas are kept clean and clear.
Manage a stores team and identify areas for improvement.
Provide mentoring and regular team reviews.
Ensure all Health & Safety Regulations are abided to.
Implement change as required by the Warehouse Manager
Year End Stock Audits
To assist the Warehouse Manager with all stock audits and planning.
Report shortages required for the production schedules to the Factory & Warehouse Manager
Analyse current processes and suggest positive and effective change(s).
Strong Management skills
3+ years knowledge of large quantity of items and stock management.
High level of organisation skills.
Fork Lift license and skill set.
Discretion and diplomacy skill set.
Ability to prioritise work load
Mentoring with experience training staff
Positive with "can do" attitude
Excels under pressure
Excellent communication skills, both internal and external with suppliers
High volume parts experience
Knowledge and understanding of product
Experienced with stock system transfers
Fork lift licence

This is a full time position, hours 08.00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday.
