Store Sales Manager

I am recruiting exclusively on behalf of my client who are a reputable company based in Manchester that offers storage, workspace and office space solutions to both businesses and residential customers across the North West. They are an ambitious brand with a number of sites and plans to grow further over the next few years and as such they are now looking for a motivated, dedicated Store Sales Manager to be based out of one of their sites in Manchester. You will need to have a mature approach to the role and must be comfortable working alone and as part of a wider team.

Role responsibilities:

  • Store based role, face to face retail sales selling to both business and residential customers
  • Telephone sales - calling previous customers who showed an interest with the intent to close the sale over the phone
  • Lead and manage all new and existing customer enquiries and ongoing expectation
  • Develop and maintain an effective enquiry management process that results in a sale
  • Finding and winning new customers will be a key element to this role. All activity is incoming and you must qualify all enquiries and manage through to sale
  • Research the client base and find new types of customers to sell to
  • Demonstrate all products and services effectively
  • Opening and closing the store
  • Make the product appeal to all target markets
  • Utilising and updating the CRM system
  • Must set a positive example across the business
  • Contribute towards ensuring store standards are maintained and exceeded
  • Ensuring individual areas of responsibility are fully undertaken
  • Coordinate activities with other team members
  • Follow store management schedule
  • Other duties as and when required such as chasing debtors, ensuring the store is clean and tidy etc

Essential requirements:

  • Previous store management experience is essential
  • Experience working for large retail organisations or distribution centres would be preferred
  • Telephone sales experience is also an added advantage
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to sell and close deals
  • Charismatic personality with the ability to engage face to face with customers
  • Strong team player with a 'can do’ attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Computer literate
  • Must have a full UK driving licence with own vehicle

For the right candidate my client is offering a fantastic package:

  • Competitive base salary up to £24,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus structure to be discussed and agreed but anywhere between £3,000 to £6,000 pa depending on performance
