Area manager job description

Our European food company is in need of a motivated Area Manager to oversee number of company run stores throughout Greater London and Kent Area. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven track record in meeting sales and revenue targets. We’re looking for a professional who has experience managing teams and maximising productivity. The ability to work independently is essential. The successful candidate will be ready to build long-term relationships with stores in the region and ensure quality consistency across each individual location.

A very good experience in the similar sector of the business background is a must. Priority will be given to those with experience in our industry.

Area Manager responsibilities and duties

Taking full responsibility for the stores KPI and Profit and Loss.

Increase store standards on customer service.

Provide training and development for staff.

Communicate with stores team/managers on a daily basis to identify the ongoing issues and support the managers.

Ensure quality consistency across the region .

Maximise sales and profitability in the territory.

Set sales and Wastage targets for individual stores and monitoring.

Over seeing the day to day business of the store staff and management team.

In the event of the store manger absent ensure to cover the store being hands on.

Area Manager skills

Excellent communication and Hands on Management skills.

At least 2 years of experience in Retail store management.
