Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm with overtime available on a Saturday

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic specialist restoration business who are looking to recruit a Stonemason on a permanent basis due to growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Renovations of historic and heritage buildings.
• Travel to multiple sites across the North of the UK (predominantly from Manchester to Leeds)
• Creating daily records and updating BMS (business management system)
• Ordering of materials
• Ensuring project follow programme and stay within budget
• Assist project/contract manager with long term planning
• Ensure strict health and safety procedures are adhered to
• May be required to assist in other areas if skills allow and are required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Stonemason, preferably in architectural stone masonry.
• Proficiency in various stone cutting, carving, and shaping techniques.
• Knowledge of different types of stones and their properties.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices in the construction industry.
• Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in stonemasonry.
