Stock Manager

A large, specialist manufacturer with offices nationally, have a permanent opportunity for a Stock manager to work from their head office in Sheffield, managing and overseeing the stock process.

The role will encompass the following duties:

  • Allocating bin locations and picking zones to all stock
  • Correcting any product codes that could affect chain of custody
  • Investigating and correcting any negative / positive stock variances
  • Arranging and ensuring that perpetual stock counts are carried out and completed
  • Authorising inter-branch transfers of stock
  • Ensuring there is no stock with missing costs
  • Management of special stock items in and out of the depot
  • Ensure labels for stock are printed
  • Developing functionality of ERP system to improve efficiency of above tasks

You will be in possession of the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Previous experience in stock control essential
  • Very keen eye for detail
  • Understanding of timber chain of custody advantageous
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong IT skills - MS packages a must
  • Good at building relationships

The role is offered with the following perks and benefits:

  • A salary, up to 24k - 27k experience depending
