STOCK MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR

My client is a logistics stock warehouse based on the outskirts of Erith.

They are currently going through rapid growth expansion and this is an exciting time to be joining such a company.

They possess an impressive portfolio of clients and you will be dealing with key clients from a stock delivery perspective

They are recruiting for Stock Management Coordinator to join their established and expanding team.

This is a brand new role within the company, so you have the scope to develop the role, with the potential of career progression within the company in the future. This is a pivotal role within this expanding company and your role will role encompass many aspects and no 2 days will be the

Duties include;

  • Looking at overnight orders from clients on online portal and ensure warehouse Manager and Floor Supervisor teams are aware of any stock allocation issues and any urgent requests that need dealing with immediately and sent out for immediate delivery

  • Dealing with goods in /out ; ensuring stock delivery is all accounted for, damage free and is located in the correct area for accurate picking & dispatching ; 24/48 hrs lead times

  • Looking at paper print outs - matching these up to stock and looking at anomalies

  • Liaising with Picking Supervisor /Floor Supervisor to update them on stock levels and rotation

  • Dealing with stock holding levels; availability and lead times

  • Ensuring adequate stock levels on site at clients premises and creating processes to ensure client stock levels never fall below requirements

  • Dealing with multiple frequency stock order and deliveries

  • Maintain product availability for company

  • Managing order system

  • Ability to be an expert on stock systems and client lead times ; identifying peaks and troughs, seasonal issues etc and forward planning to meet these changes

  • Ability to use advanced Excel to create, maintain and develop spreadsheets for data manipulation and report generation

  • Interaction between 2 warehouses on site and teams within these sites ; Floor Supervisors, Warehouse Deputy Manager ,

  • pickers and packers,

  • Looking at the productivity & efficiency of the warehouse ; ensuring targets are being made - whilst still keeping cost control in mind

  • Maintaining KPI’s and constantly monitoring these for maximum efficiency & proficiency

Skills and Experience

  • Proven working experience in a similar role and industry ; ideally stock manager /stock supervisor in large scale logistics warehouse perhaps within the commercial sector

  • Ability to demonstrate stock rotation/ stock management skills within large scale warehouse environment

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills at management level for liaison with key company contacts & stakeholders

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel for spreadsheets report generation and data manipulation
