Job Title: Stock Controller

Role Overview

Sopra Steria has a new opportunity on a large and complex IT site for a Stock Controller to be responsible for the accounting of all the clients’ assets, to include audits and movements into, within and out of the site. You will deputise for the Store Manager and have previous experience of managing technical assets. Join this very experienced team on a high profile account. Please note that it is essential you are SC Cleared for this role.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining records of hardware and software assets, their locations and status.

  • Inventory and stores accounting, including the receipt, issue and disposal of all materiel required for use at the site, using the Asset Management Facility (AMF).

  • Regular audits of assets.

  • Deputising for the Stores Manager as a member of the Equipment Care Committee and attending meetings

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of managing technical assets within a stores environment.

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.

  • A good working knowledge of asset databases is preferable.

  • Driving licence, including forklift operator, highly desirable
