Stock Controller

Our client is looking for an experienced Stock Controller to join their well-established company in East Riding of Yorkshire.

The is a very active, outdoor role that requires someone with the ability to operate all types of heavy machinery. Duties will include:
• Inputting stock precisely
• Preparing stock for auction and organising the yard
• Performing stock checks on a regular basis, ensuring all stock is accounted for at all times
• Photographing stock
• Dealing with auction inquiries from customers are suppliers

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who’s not scared of hard work and loves a varied role. If you have knowledge of heavy plant, mining and quarry equipment, then we would especially want to hear from you.

Applicants must have the following skills and experience:

• Experience in yard work
• Good knowledge of stock control
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good data entry skills
• Computer literate
• Experience of using stock management systems
• Knowledge of stock management process, trouble shooting and problem solving
• Knowledge of and the ability to operate construction equipment is desirable
• Motivated, highly organised and driven
• Excellent communication skills
• Good customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
• Ability to follow instructions and Health & Safety legislation
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Willingness to work overtime during busy periods

This is a physically demanding, all-weathers role and applicants must be able to lifts weights of up to 25kg.
